The Africa Energy Forum (aef) will take place in Cape Town, South Africa, for the first time in its 27-year history. Set against the backdrop of Table Mountain, the 2025 event will bring together over 25 Ministers of Energy, 30 Heads of Utilities, and major global investors, including DFIs, IPPs, and financiers.

Held under the theme Africa United, aef will provide a high-level platform for deal-making and setting Africa’s energy agenda ahead of the G20 meetings hosted by South Africa.

The forum will also include:

  • The Africa Cup Football Tournament at DHL Stadium
  • The Youth Energy Summit (YES!), expected to attract 4,000 youth and industry stakeholders

aef 2025 is positioned to be a key event shaping the future of energy in Africa.
